Top 5 SEO Mistakes Made By Marketing Agencies

25th October 2019 by thom Leave a Comment

SEO is search engine optimization and due to the advancement of technology, the importance of digital marketing has increased. It is now a requirement for everyone to be on the digital platform in order to attract new customers. Due to this, everyone is making major investments to beat the game of SEO. The marketing agencies are the ones which are more into it as it’s their core responsibility to deal with customers in terms of catering them and retaining them (Brag, 2018).

Poor page speed

The page speed is something which attracts the customer in a minute or so. If a page takes too much time to load then the user would probably leave the website and try to access any other website. This is because everyone knows the value of time now and when one is operating online then he expects to get things done in a shorter amount of time as that is the reason why he is on a digital platform. It has been reported that 70% of the marketing agencies face this issue nowadays.

Lack of Internal Linking

Internal linking is an amazing thing if one uses it appropriately. It includes links on a website which can lead to another page but on the same domain. It helps the users to navigate the website as they will get a chance to explore more on that website. It offers another advantage as well and that is it helps them in building an information hierarchy. The concept of internal linking is missing nowadays which is considered a prominent mistake made by the marketing agencies. It has been reported that 63% of the marketing agencies pages do not include internal linking (Giles & Gieorge, 2017).

Buying backlinks or local listings

There are plenty websites offering services like “1000 local listings”, which promise the website will be listed on a lot of local listing websites. That might work in the short-term, but in the long term this method can hurt badly, because when found out, the website will most likely be blacklisted.

Undesirable Pages

Another mistake that is done by the marketing agencies is that lots of undesirable pages get indexed by Google. This not at all works in their favour as sometimes they get ranked up your websites in SEO and brand-related searches. This issue has been faced by many marketing agencies nowadays and it has been reported that 57% of the marketing agencies had undesirable pages got indexed by Google.

Thin Content

The fourth SEO mistake made by the marketing agencies is thin content. Thin content is basically that content which is little in amount or which has no value to the user. The websites that will duplicate such content also fall under the category of thin content. Now Google is smart enough these tricks and that is why marketing agencies have to face trouble at this point of time. To make the website accepted it must include the required amount of content which is not thin in terms of words and also in terms of content. It has been reported that 52% of the marketing agencies pages had thin content (Gilson & Bernstein, 2016).

Poorly Optimized Keywords

Keywords are another proficient factor which is required to be analysed by the marketing agencies. The use of keyword actually defines where the website will fall on the search engine. In the digital world, everyone is striving hard to get among the most searched sites and to get on the results of the first page and this is because people rarely go down the next page. It has been reported that 47% of the marketing agencies are poorly optimized in terms of keywords.

Why Is Link Building Important For SEO?

11th October 2019 by thom Leave a Comment

Links and link building is always important for websites. It allows the other websites to link back to your website. This process is also known as internal linking. Everyone including the marketers and businessmen are interested in building links. It helps to earn higher rankings which will ultimately lead them to be considered as the most visited websites which are now a dream of everyone out there in the digital world. The building of links is important for another reason as well and that is if the links are built then it will be considered that your website is a quality assured website by the search engine optimization and is free of thin content (Kumar, 2017; Maviridis, 2015). The websites can get link building by both good and bad ways but it is highly recommended to earn the link building rather than buying it. The bad way is to purchase the link building from other websites which shows that your website is not competitive enough to earn that link.

The Link Rule

The only rule over here is that more quality backlinks and your website will be ranked higher. If your website is being linked back and your website is being recommended by other websites than it means that you are good at your website content and all. When your website gets more backlinks then it will get higher ranks and will come in the eye of Google (Malaga, 2016). But getting back links is not that much of an easy task, as with humans referring somebody is difficult so same is the case with the websites as well. It is difficult for other websites to link them back even if they know it in their hearts that this website content is worth it. When the website is linked back more and is ranked higher then eventually it gets a chance to come into existence for Google and that is the time when it feels that the objective is achieved.

Importance

Link building is important because it is a fact that Google ranks web pages and this ranking gets highly affected by the link building. As earlier said, if your website is being linked back and your website is being recommended by other websites than it means that your ranking status is improving and holds good chances of growth for your website. Here are few other reasons why link building is important for SEO:

  • More backlinks will allow your website to be found in Google searches more frequently, which ultimately improves your SEO.
  • More link building will provide better chances for more visits or views to your website posts; this will also help improve your SEO as well as your business, which is the ultimate goal of every businessman and marketers out there.
  • If the web pages get linked by high-quality web pages then it is like the cherry on top of the cake as it is clear that this web page consists of quality-assured content for its viewer that is why other web pages are bound to link them.

Google takes a decision on the basis of link popularity of the web pages. So ultimately it is essential for the search engine optimization to build their links (Kumar, 2017; Malaga, 2016).
