Firstly, whether you are developing a new webpage or modifying the existing one, you should have have SEO-friendly URL that fits in key terms naturally, while explaining the essence of the page. It is useful for both users and search engines. The rule is to keep everything simple, understandable and yet keyword rich.
Tips
- Avoid adding auto-generated URLs by your system
- It is better to make sure you are using a single version of URL, as if not, may create confusion for both search engines and users.
Title (Must be inclusive of Keyword)
The title page is once again an essential element and we have observed pages with higher rankings generally have their keywords used appropriately in the title tag. Search engine’s algorithm places a greater emphasis on title tag to identify what the page is all about. Therefore, it is recommended to use the key term you are willing to rank for. It is also advisable to make your title captivating too.
Tip: The more early you put the keyword in the title tag, the higher the weight it holds in search engine.
Creating a hyperlink with Anchor script
The primary aim is to keep users and search engines going deeper into your webpage, so if you are adding external sources and pages, ensure to create a link using anchor text that persuades the users, for instance ‘learn now’, ‘enhance your skills here’.
Tip: Don’t overstuff your page with such hyperlinks and try to add only when there is a need and makes sense too.
Use friendly and natural tone
The body of your writing must use the keywords in the most natural way possible and must be fit in wisely. For instance, if you are developing a landing page for weight loss, then you must use this term throughout, along with related phrases such as ‘balanced diet’, ‘working out’ and ‘physical appearance’.
